A few months later, in the same garden, Alex was sitting in a lotus pose, cultivating.
Instead of Spiritual Energy, the one attracted to him was a different type of energy. It was the energy he decided to cultivate to explore his current potential. Yes, it was none other than Life and Death Energy.
After getting known about his Spirit Crown further, he realized the potential of this power inside his Third Eye. He and Rilt began researching this power.
It took them six months to know what exactly the Spirit Crown actually could do.
The Spirit Crown turned out to be more amazing than he could think. It could awaken someone's latent potential. Just like Reila, he had called a few more spirits, ranging from the Normal Spirits to Demihuman Spirits.
Many of them turned into Humanoid Spirit Class while some could only reach Demi-human Spirit Class. Alex realized that the Spirit Crown actually improved the potential too. In other words, spirits like Reila actually only had the potential to reach Beastly Spirit Class or Demi-human Spirit Class if she was lucky.
Alex took it one step further. This ability became the most sought in this world if they didn't keep it a secret.
Unfortunately, even though he tried hard, it was impossible for Alex to make someone attain their True Spirit Body in an instant. However, the potential was there.
Rilt entered the garden with a young woman. She had black eyes and long straight black hair. Her gaze was deep, making one wonder what was in the head of this young girl.
After arriving in front of Alex, she fell on one knee and lowered her head.
Alex gradually opened his eyes and raised his vision, staring at Rilt. "Is there something you need?"
"I still don't believe that your Spirit Crown can't make someone achieve their True Spirit Body. All we have done in the past few months are helping the low rank spirits, so if I bring a Humanoid Spirit, you might be able to do it."
Alex thought for a moment and looked at the woman. "What's your name?"
"My name is Lia, Your Majesty. I am a Dark Spirit."
Alex tilted his head, hearing the familiar name. He turned to Rilt and asked, "The same as Mother-in-law?"
Rilt nodded. "After my wife, there were only four more Dark Spirits able to manifest into a Humanoid Spirit. She is the newest one. I have discussed this with my wife, and she has agreed to it."
Alex nodded back and looked at Lia. "I want you to ask this question first without thinking about my status and other people. I want you to be as selfish as possible, thinking only about yourself. Are you sure you want to do this? Knowing that there might be a chance where you die during this process?"
Lia lowered her head even more and answered without hesitation. "I have prepared to lay down my life."
Alex let out a long sigh. "For now, you should be at ease. I want you to sit down in front of me and stretch both of your hands toward me."
Lia was hesitant at first because it was no doubt that the one in front of her was the Spirit King. However, Rilt whispered something to her, and she stiffly followed Alex's instruction.
"Just relax." Alex smiled and stretched his own hands.
Their palms intertwined, and a Spirit Crown appeared above Alex's head, stunning her. It was indeed the Spirit Crown, except for the fact there were two more gems next to the blue jewel.
"Close your eyes and feel the energy. Don't fight it." Alex closed his eyes and focused on the Spirit Crown.
The energy began to circulate in their body as Alex got another vision. This time, he was above the water. Just like any other spirits, he was inside Lia's body, staring at this blurry world. He lowered his vision and found the reflection of his body.
Lia now had two different parts. The first was her eyes. Her white eyes turned black while the black eyes became yellow. Inside the yellow eyes was another black layer.
The second one was her hands and feet. It was shrouded by darkness, turning her finger into claws and her feet into talons.
"Lia, you may awaken. Show yourself to the world." Alex smiled as he repeated what the Spirit Crown showed him.
Lia didn't understand this word, but when the influx of energy entered her body, she instinctively opened her mouth. "True Spirit Body, Dark Demonic Divine Body."
The Lia in his front gradually changed into what he saw earlier. Unlike before, this Lia released a huge amount of Divine Energy, considering she was a Rank 7 God.
Rilt, who was observing the entire process, took a step back with a dumbfounded expression. He kept saying one thing like that of a broken radio. "I knew it. I knew it. I knew…"
Alex and Lia opened their eyes at the same time, and their gazes intertwined. Lia shuddered because she never expected that it was real. This was the only thing she had ever desired, considering that none of the Dark Spirits after Via, Rilt's wife, could attain the True Spirit Body.
On the contrary, Alex focused on her change and checked her body with his Spirit Eyes. Luckily, there was no Life and Death Energy remained.
Nodding his head, Alex said with a smile. "Congratulations for getting your True Spirit Body."
Lia opened her mouth but no words came out. She was utterly speechless because she never expected to get this kind of blessing from the Spirit King himself.
She stiffly kneeled again with her forehead touching the ground. Her body was shaking as she thought she was rude.
Alex only patted her head out of habit and said, "Instead of thanking me, use that power to protect this world, alright?"
She nodded her head, even if it meant rubbing her forehead with the ground.
"Good." Alex smiled and helped her up this time before looking at Rilt. "It seems your hypothesis is right."
"Ye-yeah. Even I am shocked by it." Rilt shook his head helplessly.
"Unfortunately, I feel that the energy needed is more than usual. I feel like I won't be able to do it again after a period of time."
"I see. That's natural. If a Humanoid Spirit Class is a perfect class, the True Spirit Body is the ultimate form. Out of a thousand Humanoid Spirit, which is already rare by itself, only one can get their True Spirit Body. You can say that she has really become one of the hundred million." Rilt nodded. "Go back to Via and tell your achievement. She must be happy for you. I need to talk to him."
Lia repeatedly nodded. Before leaving, she turned to Alex again and bowed.
Alex only waved his hand and looked at Rilt, who gently looked at Lia. "Old man, your face is disgusting. Are you going to be a predator?"
"What did you say? Lia was one of the five Dark Spirits out there. You can say that she is my wife's kin, so I consider them as my family. That's why I am very conflicted to bring her to you." He sighed.
"Fair enough. The danger is there after all."
"No, no. You are the real danger. If she suddenly falls in love with you and becomes my daughters' love rival, I don't know what I should do."
"…" Alex twitched his eyebrows, taking back all his concerns earlier.
"Anyway, it seems that the Spirit Crown is far better than I expected. So, I have two ideas to establish your reign while doing something positive to the Spirit World. First, you can hold the tournament every year and reward them with this awakening."
"After thinking for a while, I feel like it will take too much time. I can spend more time with my wives outside the world since this world will slowly turn into a cage for me after several hundred years if not a thousand."
"That's why I am proposing another idea. From what I understand, your limit is five awakenings…"
Before he continued, he corrected him. "Three, if I need to do what I did earlier."
"Alright. Three or five awakenings, depending on how you see it. Maybe we can tell the world that you will hold a tournament every ten years. And the tournament will be in many types, so we can advance those who are not adept at fighting while adding hidden criteria.
"For example, the first tournament has two competitions, fighting competition and support competition. Each competition will give two people to be awakened or one person for the True Spirit Body. The last one will be the spirit you personally choose after observing their character, effort, and talent. This way, you will be able to get more time with your family while keeping the spirits happy."
Alex looked down with his right hand on his chin. "That's a good idea. I don't really mind watching them around that time since we can arrange a unique match. It's a kind of enjoyment for me too. Well, we can announce it at my coronation. Since this is the first one, we should prioritize the powerful ones first, so they don't get dissatisfied with this idea, especially those who have attained Humanoid Spirit Class. After all, they must be more prideful than any other Spirits, no?"
"Indeed." Rilt nodded in agreement. "If you decide to hold a competition for the awakening process, we can give those spirits a chance, making it look like you are not favoriting the Humanoid Spirits."
"Yes. Eulja will become even stronger in the future while I can still have my freedom. That might be the best solution for us." Alex paused. "We can adjust the rule later on."
[I will pass it to Korzan later. He should be able to handle it. Besides, you can use the original Spirit Crown's skill to develop one's Martial Technique, so not only Eulja but those who are under Eulja's reign have the chance to get your good grace. This will make them even more royal.]
"Yeah. It has so much potential. I will leave the planning to Korzan."
[Sure. I will pass it on to him. He will be overjoyed when he hears it.]
"Thanks."
"Who is going to take charge of the competition?" Rilt saw Alex's different expression, so Lin Xingzhi must be contacting him through the system.
"Korzan."
"That workaholic lad, huh. Well, I don't really mind since he is so reliable." He nodded.
"I think I have mastered all the Spirit Crown's abilities. I plan to start cultivating in another world to increase my strength while enjoying my life. After all, I am going to go straight to the Rank 5 God because I feel like the situation won't be as peaceful as this anymore." Alex's expression turned serious.
Rilt nodded in agreement.
"There are six beasts (weapons) that I need to search and destroy before the beast could break the seal. I also need to go to Encore again. Besides, Sherry's situation is not safe anymore. The sooner I become Rank 5 God, the faster I can officially become the Spirit King.
"It's true that there will be many enemies in the future, but we have Blackwade Clan and Silvia's family to assist for the time being. I also haven't talked with the ten God Beasts that the former Fire God left behind. That's why if I am going to do this, it's better to do it as soon as possible. That's my plan."
"Self-Ability, Sharing, Blossom, and Enhancement, which have become "Awakening" now. You have mastered all these four abilities. I think you are already qualified to become a Rank 5 God since your real ability is already beyond Rank 6 God. I agree with your current plan. At the very least, we have Lin Xingzhi to hold the fort if a God King wants to fight us since she is considered to be one of the five big God Kings right now."
Rilt turned around and walked a few steps away from him before releasing an immeasurable pressure.
He looked at him with a serious expression. "This is our last training. You and I! We are going to fight."
