Chapter 123 : Untitled
Ji Zhiyao was very helpless, darting a glance at the drunken Yang Bing, thinking that he might not be able to get himself drunk, and it seems like he had no choice but to drink in this situation too. Hence he picked up the bottle opener, nimbly opening a bottle of beer for himself, clinking it with Yang Bing’s bottle. “Fine, I’ll drink with you.”
Yang Bing had even ordered food earlier, with quite a lot of it still left on the table. Ji Zhiyao planned to eat while drinking, this way his stomach wouldn’t be too uncomfortable.
But Yang Bing was a talkaholic and each time he finished a sentence he would drag Ji Zhiyao to take a sip. Ji Zhiyao was in agony.
“I know at the start Xing Chuxue was interested in you, when you came to urge, I even felt especially humiliated and didn’t want to talk to you. Now that I think about it, I was simply a fool. Come, Old Ji, cheers to brothers!
“After I fell out with you I felt especially regretful yet was too prideful. What pride do I have? Purely spoiled by myself. Did you have such thoughts too?
“You don’t know how happy I was for you when I went to watch you compete, I felt so proud that I was able to get to know a brother like you. Old Ji, I make a toast to you.”
A few rounds later, there were more and more empty bottles on the table. Ji Zhiyao had started to become tipsy, not knowing how much he had drank.
Yang Bing was also knocked out, lying face to face with him on the table, smacking his lips from time to time.
After not sure how long, Ji Zhiyao vaguely felt his phone that was in his pocket continuously vibrating. He frowned, muttering in disdain, “Stop making noise.”
A few seconds later, it indeed became peaceful in his pocket. Ji Zhiyao was almost about to doze off, but not too long after his phone began vibrating again, Ji Zhiyao moved his fingers, using a great deal of effort before he managed to pull he out.
He squinted, sliding his finger across the screen before he saw the caller ID clearly, asking feebly, “Hello, who are you?”
The voice on the other end was low, seeming slightly displeased. “Ji Zhiyao, you’re drunk?”
Ji Zhiyao started to giggle. “I’m not drunk. Captain why are you calling me?”
“Where are you now?”
“Where am I? I’m at... at...” Ji Zhiyao blankly raised his arm, lifting his hand to poke Yang Bing. “Bing, where are we now?”
Yang Bing’s face was still buried in the table as he waved his hands in annoyance. “Isn’t it just the barbecue place opposite school.”
Ji Zhiyao spoke confidently into the phone, “Yes, I’m at the barbecue place opposite school. Captain I’m going to sleep, not gonna talk to you anymore, good night.”
With that, he didn’t even hang up and fell onto the table once more.
An hour later.
Mo Huaifeng dressed in a black windbreaker pushed open the door of the barbecue place, his face as dark as the bottom of a pot.
There weren’t many people left around, Mo Huaifeng spotted Ji Zhiyao who was sleeping soundly while lying on the table at one glance, and another boy who was similarly out cold like him.
He was a slight eyesore.
Mo Huaifeng narrowed his eyes a little, not in a hurry to go carry Ji Zhiyao but walked to the cashier at the counter. “May I know what time do you close?”
“We don’t, our place operates 24/7.”
That makes things easy to handle.
Mo Huaifeng pulled out his phone and gestured in the direction where Ji Zhiyao was at. “Their bill please.”
When he was done settling the bill, Mo Huaifeng walked to that side and used his hand to pat Ji Zhiyao. “NoHomo?”
Ji Zhiyao was motionless.
Mo Huaifeng stood for a while and suddenly reached out to hold onto Ji Zhiyao’s shoulder, used some strength and straightened him up.
Ji Zhiyao was at least 1.8m tall, although he looked slightly skinny, he still weighed quite a bit.
It took Mo Huaifeng a great deal of effort to carry him out of the place, trying his best to be slower with his actions. Up till he threw Ji Zhiyao into the car, Mo Huaifeng bowed his head and took a look, he still wasn’t awake.
Mo Huaifeng was at ease and focused on driving.
Everyone else in the team was in the training room, Mo Huaifeng carried Ji Zhiyao upstairs, pushed open the door to his room and threw him onto the bed.
Ji Zhiyao was bounced up and down twice by the bed and almost woke up.
The corner of his lips curled, Mo Huaifeng realized that his own mood had become much better.
He lowered his head, and caught the strong smell of booze. Hence he frowned again, stepped forward and with a lot of effort, removed Ji Zhiyao’s jacket that totally stank.
Mo Huaifeng used two fingers to pick up the jacket and entered the bathroom.
Before he threw it into the washing machine, he briefly felt the two pockets, after pulling out the phone and wallet, lifted the cover of the washing machine and threw the jacket in.
Then holding the phone and wallet, walked out of the bathroom.
Placing both items on the table, Mo Huaifeng was about to leave but his peripherals suddenly caught a crumpled piece of paper in the slip between the phone cover and the screen. He stopped in his steps, feeling slightly curious.
Mo Huaifeng lifted the phone cover by half and lightly tugged on the paper that almost had it’s corners worn flat.
It was an autograph.
Mo Huaifeng saw the words “Xiao, Mix.Xiao” on it, his pale lips pursing into a straight line.
...
It was yet another morning, the sun was especially bright.
Ji Zhiyao used his hand to block before his eyes, finding it useless after doing so for a while, he then decided to get up to close the curtains before he continued sleeping. The moment he sat up, he realized that other than himself, there was the sound of another person’s breathing in his ears.
Ji Zhiyao was a little confused and finally opened his eyes.
This was his room at the base.
Not some strange place, Ji Zhiyao sighed in relief as he turned his head to the side.
This glance gave him such a shock that he almost died.
There was a person sleeping beside him.
Mix battleteam’s brilliant and resourceful, dearest Captain.
Mo Huaifeng laid on his side with his head resting on his arm, his breathing stable, evidently deep in sleep. His top and pants were both on his body, but two buttons of his top had been undone.
Ji Zhiyao rubbed his temples, unable to recall the details of how he returned to the base from the barbecue place and why Captain was on his bed no matter what.
Though there was no need for two guys to avoid suspicion, this was really too shocking.
Ji Zhiyao deliberated for a while, yet was unable to resist the sleepiness that quickly hit again.
He got out of bed with difficulty and closed the curtains then glanced at the space for about one and a half person that was left, excluding Mo Huaifeng on the bed, decisively laying back down.
Doubts could wait till they’d woken up.
...
Less than an hour later, Mo Huaifeng opened his eyes.
As his sleeping position wasn’t that comfortable, there was still some signs of tiredness in his eyes. But when his gaze shifted and caught the person beside him, that bit of tiredness vanished completely like melted snow.
Feeling the dull sunlight on himself, Mo Huaifeng lifted his head seemingly and saw the curtains that were drawn.
He remembered that when they came back yesterday, he hadn’t touched the curtains at all.
Then...
The person beside him who not sure when, had changed his sleeping position was still in deep sleep, Mo Huaifeng twitched the corner of his lips, and as he listened to the even breathing by his ear, closed his eyes once more.
