Who Gave You the Courage? (1)

In the virtual chamber.

Xu Jingming sat cross-legged and cultivated Light Rays’ Visualization.

“Master, Lunardo wants to meet you,” the Primordial Battle Armor’s AI reported immediately.

Huh? Xu Jingming stopped his visualization. Although he felt a little uncomfortable, he asked, “What’s going on? Why did he suddenly want to see me?”

The Primordial Battle Armor’s AI had been monitoring the entire solar system, so it knew everything that happened after Lunardo arrived on Earth. It immediately said, “Lunardo was warmly received by the entire Earth and Black Moon civilization’s garrison upon his arrival. According to my inference, he already has plans to leave Earth. It might not be a good thing for him to request meeting you before leaving.”

“Tell me your guess,” Xu Jingming said. He believed in the Primordial Battle Armor’s AI’s deductive abilities.

“The great nobles of advanced cosmic civilizations have the habit of recruiting talents,” the Primordial Battle Armor’s AI explained. “After all, there are limited talents in the family, and there are more talents in the outside world! I guess Lunardo discovered your outstanding talent and wants to recruit you.”

“Recruiting talent?” Xu Jingming frowned.

“The conditions for great nobles to recruit talents are also different. Some conditions are very good, while others are very harsh,” the Primordial Battle Armor’s AI stated. “Of course, Master, you’re a peripheral member of the Primordial Research Institute, so it’s not suitable for you to be exposed. When such a thing happens, you can use one of the top organizations in Primordial City to deal with it.”

Xu Jingming nodded slightly.

He had always avoided meeting Prince Lunardo because he was afraid of trouble. However, who would’ve thought that he couldn’t avoid it even though he had been living in seclusion?

Buzz.

Xu Jingming received a message and tapped gently.

“Director Zhou.” Xu Jingming looked at Director Zhou’s projection.

“I believe you’re aware that Prince Lunardo—a member of royalty from the advanced cosmic civilization, Primestar civilization—is touring Earth?” Director Zhou said seriously, “He wants to meet you now.”

Xu Jingming nodded.

“Before you meet, there are a few things I have to remind you,” Director Zhou said. “First of all, Prince Lunardo has been placed in an important position in the Primestar royal family according to the information available in the virtual world. Many nobles are befriending him…”

Director Zhou gave a simple introduction.

“You know everything you need to know. Set off quickly; it’s not good to keep Prince Lunardo waiting,” Director Zhou reminded.

“Understood.” Xu Jingming nodded.

The virtual chamber door opened.

Xu Jingming walked out and looked through the wall. He saw Li Miaomiao wearing a VR headset in the bedroom and also saw that his daughter’s virtual chamber door was closed.

If it weren’t for the Primordial Research Institute, I wouldn’t have the right to refuse. Xu Jingming could sense the fear of the others on Earth. A weak civilization like Earth could be seriously damaged by just a tiny storm.

Whoosh!

Xu Jingming walked into the courtyard and turned into a stream of light that tore through the air.

He flew at the speed of a Lv. 7 cosmic lifeform to where Prince Lunardo was.

Lunardo waited as he watched the performance. The gorgeous robe he wore also had an extremely powerful surveillance system that kept him in contact with the spaceship outside Earth.

“He’s here.” Prince Lunardo smiled and waved his hand casually.

“Get them to leave,” the handsome, silver-haired butler immediately instructed.

Soon, all the performers left.

At this moment, Xu Jingming was also led to the hall. He saw the gorgeous-robed youth sitting at the head of the table and the silver-haired butler standing beside him.

As for Secretary General Angus, Captain Ennor, and the others, they were sitting in relatively remote spots. It was obvious that their status was much lower.

When Xu Jingming entered and glanced at Prince Lunardo, his actions made the silver-haired butler frown and shout, “Bow your head!”

A genius from a weak civilization should remain humble!

“Kanias, you should give preferential treatment to geniuses,” Prince Lunardo said with a smile.

“Yes, Your Highness,” the handsome, silver-haired butler replied respectfully.

“Greetings, Your Highness.” Xu Jingming bowed.

“Sit. Sit here.” His Highness pointed at a seat close to him. This was much closer than where Secretary General Angus, Captain Ennor, and the others were.

“Thank you, Your Highness.” Xu Jingming was also very polite as he sat down.

Prince Lunardo leaned back in his seat and smiled. “All these years, I’ve been touring the 34 cosmic sectors of the cosmic human race. In these different cosmic sectors are different civilizations that have broadened my horizons.”

“I’m so envious, Your Highness. I’ve never left my galaxy yet,” Xu Jingming remarked.

“Haha, there’s a chance.” Prince Lunardo laughed. “You’re different from the others on Earth—you’re a talent! The Cosmic Human Alliance is fair. No matter how weak a civilization you come from, as long as you’re a talent, you will be placed in an important position by the entire Cosmic Human Alliance.”

Xu Jingming wore an attentive look.

“You reached Lv. 7 in less than two years after cultivating the evolutionary method,” Prince Lunardo said to the butler. “Kanias, this is considered rare even in our Primestar civilization, right?”

“Yes, he’s indeed a genius.” The silver-haired butler nodded. “However, it only means that he has talent in actual combat. The evolutionary path… still requires talent in mental strength.”

“Indeed.”
