Chapter 129

Xiao Chen nodded in realization, a smile spreading across his face, "Alright, alright, I'll let Chairman Xiao accompany his wife then. I'll take my leave."

"Very well." Xiao Chen politely nodded, then instructed the two staff members behind him, "Please show him out."

"Yes, Chairman Xiao."

Xiao Chen watched them enter the elevator before going into his office.

"What brings you here so suddenly?" He sat down on the sofa.

"I'm here to bring you lunch," Yu Na hugged his arm and poked his face twice, "To make up for missing your birthday dinner."

"Make up?"

"You said you wanted to eat the dinner I cooked on your birthday, didn't you?" She said while unpacking the lunchboxes, "But we ended up eating out instead, so I'm making up for it today."

She opened the lid of the lunchbox. The stir-fried tomatoes and eggs were red and glistening.

The cashew shrimp exuded an appetizing aroma, mixed with the fragrance of nuts.

Even the white rice was decorated with black sesame seeds, brimming with ceremony.

"I was afraid you might be busy this afternoon, so I asked if you were free this morning. There wasn't much time to prepare an elaborate meal. I originally wanted to make your favorite sweet and sour pork but that really takes a long time, and it might not be as crispy by the time it gets here."

Xiao Chen sat listening to her chatter endlessly about the cooking process at home, down to every last detail.

Unbeknownst to him, the corners of his mouth turned up softly.

"Next time, I'll cook Northeastern Chinese food for you. For now, just eat-"

"Hey, hey, wait!"

Yu Na was enthusiastically recounting her cooking experience from the morning when her body was suddenly lifted into the air. Xiao Chen pulled her onto his lap, his voice low as he called her, "Wife..."

"..."

All the words Yu Na wanted to say were stifled by that single word.

It wasn't the first time Xiao Chen had called her his wife, but unlike the last teasing time in her office, this was completely different.

Yu Na was so nervous she didn't dare utter a word.

"If you wanted to see me, you could've just called my driver to come get you." He smiled and said, "You didn't have to cook."

Yu Na placed her hands around the back of his neck, idly caressing him with her fingertips, "But I wanted you to eat a meal I made."

Xiao Chen indulgently conceded, "Alright."

But he didn't eat. Instead, he nestled into her softness, then pressed his lips against hers.

The thin layer of fabric let out a soft "pop".

Then another one. Yu Na had applied red lipstick and worn a blue halter dress that accentuated her slender waist. Her prominent collarbones contrasted sharply against her snow-white skin.

Her body shuddered involuntarily at his touch. Where could she withstand this? She pleaded softly, "Can we eat first?"

The shameless man blatantly lied, "It's still too hot, we'll eat in a bit."

"..."

Sitting on his lap, Yu Na's legs trembled ceaselessly as faint whimpers escaped her throat every so often.

"Xiao Chen..." She felt like she would melt away in his palms, her reason seemingly snatched by him.

Xiao Chen cradled her face and clasped the back of her head to pull her closer, kissing the tip of her nose, her lips, her slender neck. Each kiss laced with a hint of taboo was somehow more...thrilling than usual.

Yu Na's gaze grew blurry but she could clearly see his sharp jawline and slight movement of his chin as he kissed her.

She willingly tilted her head back.

...

After some time, Xiao Chen finally released her.

Yu Na went limp in his embrace, lips parted slightly as she hungrily gasped for air.

Glancing down at herself, scenes from earlier flashed through her mind.

Though he had taken liberties with her before, openly doing so inside his office was certainly a first.

Xiao Chen scooped up some rice and dishes for her and they ate lunch together.

He asked, "Want anything else to eat? I'll have them bring more."

"No need, this is plenty."

Yu Na picked up a piece of the translucent shrimp and brought it to Xiao Chen's mouth, "Try this, I think the flavor turned out pretty good. My only mistake was not peeling the cucumber. The presentation is probably not the best..."

"Where does it look bad? Who made the rule that cucumbers must be peeled?"

Xiao Chen heaped praise on the meal Yu Na prepared.

After lunch, Xiao Chen tidied up and freshened up a bit.

He said, "Let's go take an afternoon nap?"

Without a second thought, Yu Na shook her head, "I want to stay here and watch you work."

Barely suppressing an amused smile, it still spread across Xiao Chen's face. He let out a soft chuckle, "Alright."

"Hehe."

Xiao Chen suddenly got up and stretched lazily, his tone casual, "Then you stay here by yourself, I'm going to nap."

Yu Na blanked, "Huh?"

He glanced back teasingly, "Let me rephrase, do you want to join me for an afternoon nap?"

She answered rather shamelessly, "...Yes."

Xiao Chen walked over and scooped her up, carefully placing her down on the large bed inside the bedroom.

Yu Na clung onto him refusing to let go. One leg hooked over his waist swaying back and forth as she pressed closer to him, "Hold me while we sleep."

"You'd better behave yourself." He grabbed her leg, enunciating each word in warning.

But his hand slid up her leg until it stopped abruptly in a certain area, "I don't have any protection here." Yu Na wanted to put her leg down but Xiao Chen had it locked in place. She complained, "...Why aren't you prepared?"

"How would I know you were coming over?" Xiao Chen pulled the comforter over them, his restless hands now concealed as he asked, "Should I have someone go downstairs to buy some?"

"....No need." Yu Na shamelessly burrowed into his embrace making unreasonable demands, "But I want to kiss you, and you can't react."

Xiao Chen: ???

He was tickled with amusement, "Are you even human?"

Yu Na smiled triumphantly as she unbuttoned his shirt. Ignoring him, she turned to lay on his arm, hugging his neck and actively kissing him herself.

Xiao Chen: "......"

He felt like he was stranded alone in a vast, barren desert. The only thing around for hundreds of miles was a blazing fire, with not a water source in sight.

He still wanted to remain a gentleman, so he didn't do anything to her.

But in the end, he suddenly grabbed her hand. Voice hoarse, he declared, "You're asking for this yourself."

"Hey, you-!"

His mood lifted as he grinned, "Be good now."

With that said, he grasped her hand and slid it under the covers...

...

After much effort, Xiao Chen finally coaxed Yu Na to sleep.

Lying on his side, he studied her face closely. Her cheeks were still flushed red from their intimacy just now, her lips moist, like a piece of candy he'd just tasted.

Unable to resist, he kissed her again.

Just then, his assistant Xiao Jiang sent a text: [Chairman Xiao, there is a document that requires your signature, may I come over?]

Xiao Chen replied: [Come on over]

Xiao Jiang: [Alright]

Xiao Chen had originally wanted to freshen up in the bathroom, but Xiao Jiang sent another message: [I'm already outside the door.]

"......"

Since Xiao Jiang was no outsider, Xiao Chen saw no need to tidy up and went straight to the outer office.

Two shirt buttons were left undone, and thanks to Yu Na's mussing, his hair was a mess.

He sat down in his office chair, casually stretching his legs out in front. A drowsy expression on his face, eyes half-closed, he listlessly flipped through documents.

Xiao Jiang stood properly to one side, unable to peel his eyes off of Xiao Chen. He was like an animal seeing something fresh and novel.

After Xiao Chen signed the papers, Xiao Jiang accepted the documents. Unable to resist, he asked, "Chairman Xiao, did I interrupt you and sister-in-law?"

Xiao Chen lazily raised his eyelids, "Hm?"

Xiao Jiang wore an expression that said he had something to say but didn't know if he should. He pointed at his own neck.

Impatiently, Xiao Chen said, "Speak properly, thank you."

Xiao Jiang had zero romantic experience. Throwing caution to the wind, blushing fiercely, he steeled himself and pointed at his own neck. Enunciating each word clearly, he declared, "Sister-in-law gave you a hickey here!"

Xiao Chen: ???
